Flama Roja Cava Brut

Catalunya, Spain -

Macabeo & Parellada all farmed sustainably, hand-harvested. This is a fresher, more elegant style of Cava, perfect for any time of the year. Castell d’Or is a group of top quality co-op cellars from different wine areas in Catalonia, imported directly to Asheville!

Dom. Houchart Côtes de Provence Rose 2016

Provence, France -

It’s salmon colored and smells of cherry blossoms. Not a bad start for this typical provençal blend. The fruit is beautiful from a 200-acre estate at the foot of Sainte Victoire. A dry fruitiness of tangerine and tart cherry is pleasing. Clean minerality gives it nice lift on the finish. Cabernet sauvignon, Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah & Mourvedre

Berger Lössterrassen Grüner Veltliner 2015

Kremstal, Austria -

Zesty lime and green fern aromas rise from the glass. The palate merely adds a little green pear fruit to this refreshing and enlivening combo of utter cleanness and verve. The linearity and drive make this moreish, very exciting and totally lip-smacking. Echoes of pepper on the aftertaste make it even more intriguing.

Las Perdices Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo -

Very subtle greenish-yellow color, intense aromas of passion fruit, mango, and pink grapefruit, with subtle mineral notes. Good attack on the palate, well balanced acidity, and a long finish, highlighting notes of tropical fruit.

Laetitia Estate Chardonnay 2015

Arroyo Grande Valley, CA -

Energetic fruit and mineral-driven notes of ripe quince, green apple and crushed chalk transition into delicate aromas of jasmine, apricot preserves and spiced tea. This Chardonnay offers a spicy anise character that weaves throughout the honeyed finish and crisp acidity. Ripe and delicious, this brings the richness of honey and the rigor of minerality into perfect balance.

Belterre Pinot Noir 2013

Languedoc, France -

complex aromas of red fruit and spice. A smooth and elegant wine, fresh, and easy to drink. This wine shows deep in color, with ruby tints. It has scents of red and black berries mixed with floral notes, together with hints of delicate spices and vanilla. On the palate, it displays aromas of crushed black fruits such as raspberries, blackcurrants, cherries and black-cherry jam. This wine is complex, rich and long with well integrated tannins.

Las Perdices Malbec 2015

Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo -

Intense purple red color. Complex berry aromas with delicate oak touches. Soft in mouth, balanced, plum and cherry notes. 8 months in French and American oak barrels.

Marietta Cellars Armé

Geyserville, CA -

In a world of many over-hyped, over extracted, & over-priced CA reds, there are a few exceptions that stand out like beacons on a foggy night. One is Marietta Cellars. The history of Marietta Cellars goes back nearly 40 years. 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot, 3% Malbec Armé has chewy, rich, concentrated flavors of classic black currant, cherries, smoke and earth, with fine tannins and a long structured finish. The nose elegantly combines aromas of spice-box, green olive and black licorice.
